WEBINAR NASIONAL PGPAUD UNRI DENGAN PGPAUD UNIMED

            Pada hari Kamis, 14 Oktober 2021 PGPAUD UNRI menyelenggarakan Webinar Nasional dengan tema “Literasi Matematika Anak Usia Dini”. Kegiatan Webinar ini dibuka oleh Bapak Dekan FKIP UNRI yaitu Bapak Prof. Dr. H. Mahdum, M.Pd. Pada kesempatan kali ini, PGPAUD UNRI menghadirkan empat Pemateri/Narasumber yaitu Prof. Martin Carlsen yang merupakan seorang Profesor Pendidikan Matematika dan seorang pengajar di Universitas Agder Norwegia, Bapak Suprih Widodo, S.Si., M.T yang merupakan Kaprodi Pendidikan Sistem dan Teknologi Informasi UPI Purwakarta, Prof. Dr. Anita Yus, M.Pd yang merupakan seorang Dosen Prodi PGPAUD UNIMED dan Ibu Yeni Solfiah, S.Pd., M.Pd yang merupakan Dosen PGPAUD UNRI. Webinar ini dipandu oleh Bapak Zaldi Harfal, M.A selaku Moderator. Webinar ini mendapatkan antusias yang baik dan dihadiri oleh ratusan orang yang terdiri dari Dosen, Guru dan Mahasiswa dari berbagai daerah.

            Adapun materi yang disampaikan oleh Narasumber yaitu bagaimana mengajak anak usia dini agar mengenal dan bermain matematika. Kegiatan sehari-hari selalu berhubungan dengan konsep matematika, maka dari itu sesungguhnya aktivitas anak dalam kesehariannya cenderung mengeksplorasi pola dan bentuk, membandingkan ukuran dan menghitung benda yang ada disekitarnya. Melalui kegiatan sehari-hari memungkinkan anak menyadari konsep matematika sedangkan untuk literasi matematika adalah kemampuan anak untuk merumuskan, menggunakan dan menginterprestasi matematika dalam berbagai konteks. Literasi matematika lebih menekankan penalaran matematika dan menekankan kemampuan anak pada pemecahan masalah matematis. Untuk menstimulai penalaran dan kemampuan anak dapat dilakukan kegiatan menggambarkan dan membandingkan ukuran benda seperti meminta anak memasang alas meja untuk konsep kebesaran/kekecilan, kegiatan untuk memilih mana buah yang besar/kecil, siapa yang lebih tinggi/pendek, mana yang lebih banyak/sedikit. Setelah anak bisa mengeksplorasi besaran anak diberikan pembelajaran tentang bilangan seperti mengucapkan kata bilangan, menghitung, mengenali sejumlah objek secara instan, membaca atau menulis angka.

             Kemudian kegiatan menyelidiki dinamika seperti menggabungkan, memisahkan, atau mengeksplorasi gerakan seperti membalik benda. Setelah itu, anak mempelajari pola dan bentuk dengan menggunakan berbagai bahan yang kemudian dilanjutkan dengan mengidentifikasi atau membuat pola, bentuk, dan mengeksplorasi sifat-sifat geometris. Selanjutnya bermain bentuk geometri, bentuk terstruktur dan membentuk menggunakan bahan alam. Namun ada beberapa catatan saat memberikan stimulasi matematika pada anak diantaranya yaitu cukup amati perkembangan anak dan diskusikan pengalaman belajar yang telah di dapat anak, klarifikasi ide anak, kaitkan dengan bangunan, gedung atau hal nyata lainnya serta berikan respon/dukungan karena respon/dukungan sangat terkait dan mempengaruhi persepsi konsep matematika. Melihat antusias peserta dalam mengikuti Webinar ini, diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan bahwa matematika bukan materi belajar yang menakutkan agar kedepannya kita dapat memberikan literasi matematika pada anak usia dini dengan cara yang tepat.
