Dalam rangka meningkatkan pemahaman mengenai implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka di lingkungan PAUD, Program Studi PG-PAUD mengundang TK Negeri Pembina 1 Medan. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk Focus Group Discussion (FGD)pada tanggal 7 Agustus 2023. Kegiatan ini dibuka oleh Dekan Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan, Prof. Yusnasi, MS. Narasumber dalam kegiatan ini adalah kepala sekolah dan guru, TK Negeri Pembina 1 Medan yang merupakan TK Penggerak, membagikan pengalaman mereka saat mengimplemetasikan kurikulum merdeka.
Kegiatan ini dihadiri oleh pihak sekolah TK Negeri Pembina 1 Medan dan seluruh dosen Program Studi PG-PAUD. Pihak sekolah yang merupakan narasumber menjelaskan dengan detail implementasi dan peralihan menuju kurikulum merdeka. Pihak sekolah menyatakan bahwa kurikulum merdeka mengharusnya guru menjadi lebih kreatif dan inovatif dalam menjalankan proses pembelajaran. Program Studi PG-PAUD juga sangat mengapresiasi pihak sekolah dalam berbagi ilmu mengenai Kurikulum Merdeka dari sudut pandang pelaksana.
