KEGIATAN WISUDA DARING UNIVERSITAS NEGERI MEDAN

Universitas Negeri Medan melaksanakan Wisuda Daring untuk pertama kali dengan live Streaming melalui kanal YouTube Universitas Negeri Medan di Ruang Sidang A Pusat Administrasi Unimed, pada hari Rabu tanggal 12 Agustus 2020 pukul 08.00 WIB sampai dengan selesai. Pada Wisuda Daring ini 812 wisudawan, yang berasal dari 104 Lulusan Program Pascasarjana, 34 Lulusan Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan, 142 Lulusan Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni, 74 Lulusan Fakultas Ilmu Sosial, 128 Lulusan Fakutas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, 64 Lulusan Fakultas Teknik, 66 Lulusan Fakultas Ilmu Keolahragaan dan 200 Lulusan Fakultas Ekonomi dilantik oleh Rektor Unimed Dr. Syamsul Gultom SKM, M.Kes. Pada kesempatan ini, turut hadir juga Ketua Senat Unimed Prof. Dr. Syawal Gultom, M.Pd., Wakil Rektor I Dr. Restu, MS., Wakil Rektor II Dr. Martina Restuati, M.Si., Wakil Rektor III Prof. Dr. Sahat Siagian, M.Pd., Wakil Rektor IV Prof. Manihar Situmorang, M.Sc., Ph.D., Direktur Pascasarjana, Dekan se-lingkungan Unimed, Ketua LPPM dan Ketua LPPMP.

Adapun lulusan terbaik wisuda periode Agustus 2020, diantaranya : Ilham Syahputra dengan IPK 3,90 dari Prodi S-2 Antropologi Sosial Pascasarjana, Canra Wijaya Nasution dengan IPK 3,81 dari Prodi S-1 PGSD Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan, Yuriska Dewi dengan IPK 3,92 dari Prodi S-1 Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni, Devi Juliani dengan IPK 3,95 dari Prodi S-1 Pendidikan Sejarah Fakultas Ilmu Sosial, Abdul Rasyid Fakhrun Gani dengan IPK 3,82 dari Prodi S-1 Pendidikan Biologi Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, Siti Asmawati dengan IPK 3,84 dari Prodi S-1 Tata Boga Fakultas Teknik, Erlina Sihotang dengan IPK 3,24 dari Prodi D3- Teknik Sipil Fakultas Teknik, Rocky Charles Andreas Sihombing dengan IPK 3,85 dari Prodi S-1 Ilmu Keolahragaan Fakultas Ilmu Keolahragaan, Yosiva Lufi dengan IPK 3,90 dari Prodi S-1 Manajemen Fakultas Ekonomi.

Pada sambutannya, Rektor Unimed Dr. Syamsul Gultom mengucapkan selamat kepada para wisudawan dan juga berterima kasih kepada seluruh orang tua karena sudah mempercayakan anaknya belajar di Unimed. Mewakili seluruh pimpinan di Unimed, Dr. Syamsul Gultom menyampaikan permohonan maaf karena upacara wisuda periode Agustus 2020 dilakukan secara daring. Beliau mengatakan bahwa kegiatan wisuda daring sebenarnya tidak diinginkan, namun wisuda daring tetap dilaksanakan untuk mengikuti anjuran pemerintah sehubungan dengan kewaspadaan dan pencegahan penularan Covid-19 untuk tidak melakukan pertemuan dalam jumlah besar serta mengajak semua untuk mementingkan keselamatan dari virus ini.

Rektor Unimed Dr. Syamsul Gultom mengingatkan agar wisudawan tetap menjaga nama baik almamater dan memberikan kontribusi kepada masyarakat luas sesuai ilmu yang diperolehnya. Terlebih lagi di era pandemi Covid-19 saat ini, para wisudawan dituntut untuk lebih memiliki rasa empati, kepedulian, sense of belonging dan kemahiran dibidang IT. Karena, semua aktivitas pendidikan, pemerintahan dan hampir semua sektor kehidupan sudah berbasis IT, sebagai upaya mengurangi kontak fisik untuk pencegahan penyebaran Covid-19. “Kita berharap para wisudawan secara personal tetap memperkuat skill yang dibutuhkan di era industri 4.0, agar mampu bersaing didunia kerja yang semakin kompetitif. Masyarakat menaruh harapan yang cukup besar kepada Universitas Negeri Medan untuk mendidik dan menghasilkan guru, konselor, pamong belajar, dan tenaga kerja yang bermutu dan berkarakter yang memiliki kecerdasan intelektual, spiritual, emosional, maupun kinestetik yang menjadi sikap dan mentalitas para wisudawan,” pesan Dr. Syamsul Gultom sebagai akhir pidatonya
