Dongeng Peringati Hari Guru, PG-PAUD Gelar Workshop Dongeng

Medan (Unimed) – Prodi PG-PAUD Unimed (Pendidikan Guru Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini) menggelar seminar dan workshop nasional 2016, mengangkat tema “Rahasia dibalik dogeng” di Lantai IV Digital Library Unimed pada 25 November 2016. Menghadirkan pemateri dari Rumah Dogeng Indonesia, Awam Prakoso.

Novita Fadilah selaku ketua panitia menjelaskan acara ini merupakan pengaplikasian dari mata kuliah pendidikan dan program pelatihan, dengan melibatkan 105 orang panitia dari tiga kelas program studi PAUD. Acara ini dihadiri oleh ratusan peserta dari mahasiswa, guru PAUD dan kalangan umum.

Turut hadir wakil rektor I Prof. Dr. Abdul Hamid K, M.Pd., Wakil Dekan I Prof. Dr. Yusnadi, M.S., Ketua Prodi PAUD Kamtini, S.Pd, M.Pd., Dosen pengampu Dr. Yasaratodo Waw, M.Pd., Dosen PAUD dan Puluhan Kepala Sekolah PAUD se-Kota Medan.

Ketua Prodi PG-PAUD, Kamtini, M.Pd. mengatakan melalui acara ini dilakukan sebagai momentum peringatan hari guru nasional, tahun lalu menghadirkan tokoh lokal, namun hari ini menghadirkan tokoh tingkat nasional, tahun depan kita akan lakukan lebih jauh lagi, kita akan undang pemateri dari negara jiran tetangga. Oleh sebab itu, maka kita bersama-sama saling membantu, bekerjasama dan berpartisipasi untuk menyukseskan kegiatan tersebut.

Wakil Rektor I, Prof. Dr. Abdul Hamid K, M.Pd. mengatakan dogeng sebagai metode pembelajaran dan pembentukan karakter sangat baik diterima oleh anak-anak. Dalam dogeng juga diajarkan bagaimana berkomunikasi dengan baik, berbuat baik dan saling menolong. Saya teringat sewaktu kecil dahulu, sangat senang sekali mendengarkan dogeng dari kakek saya. Sehingga saya sering sekali meminta orang tua saya untuk berkunjung kerumah kakek hanya untuk mendengarkan dogeng.

Lanjut beliau, kekuatan dogeng dapat membentuk karakter anak sejak dini. Dengan bercerita anak kaya dengan imajinasi dan mengembangkan pola pikir anak. Guru sebagai pengganti orang tua di sekolah harus dapat menjadi panutan dan inspirasi bagi siswanya. Selamat hari guru bagi kita semua, baik calon guru maupun guru-guru yang hadir pada hari ini.
