Pada hari Selasa, 10 Maret 2022 Prodi PG PAUD melaksanakan acara Pelepasan dan Pembekalan PLP 1. Kegiatan ini dihadiri oleh Ibu Wakil Dekan III FIP Bidang Kemahasiswaan yaitu Ibu Kamtini, S.Pd., M.Pd, Ibu Ketua Prodi PG PAUD yaitu Ibu Suri Handayani Damanik, S.Psi., M.Psi, Bapak dan Ibu Dosen Pembimbing Lapangan PLP 1 serta seluruh Mahasiswa PG PAUD Semester IV. Dalam kegiatan ini, Ibu Wakil Dekan III dan juga Ibu Ketua Prodi memberikan pengarahan kepada Mahasiswa yang akan melaksanakan PLP 1 dengan harapan kegiatan ini akan terlaksana dengan baik meskipun masih dalam masa pandemic.
Adapun jadwal Pembekalan PLP 1 ini dibagi menjadi dua sesi dengan pembagian untuk Sesi 1 pada pukul 11.00-12.30 dan untuk Sesi 2 pada pukul 14.00-15.30. Pada Sesi 1 terdiri dari TK Pembina 1 Medan, TK Pembina 2 Medan, TK Pembina 1 Tanjung Morawa, TK Salsa, TK Dian Ekawati, TK ABA 06, TK ABA 05, TK Asisi, TK Budi Murni dan TK Annisa. Sementara untuk Sesi 2 terdiri dari TK Karunia, TK Pelangi, TK ABA 21, TK Amir Hamzah, TK Triwani Trisula, TK ABA 19, TK Immanuel Kids, TK ABA 25, TK Nazifa dan TK ABA 01.
Kegiatan PLP 1 dilaksanakan di sekolah mitra secara daring atau luring dengan tetap menjaga protocol kesehatan secara ketat. Pengenalan Lapangan Persekolahan 1 (PLP 1) ini memiliki beberapa bentuk kegiatan di sekolah seperti aktivitas observasi, analisis dan penghayatan terhadap kegiatan terkait dengan kultur sekolah, manajemen sekolah dan dinamika sekolah sebagai lembaga pengembang pendidikan dan pembelajaran. Adapun capaian pembelajaran yang diharapkan dimiliki oleh Mahasiswa setelah mengikuti kegiatan PLP 1 adalah untuk memperkuat kompetensi pemahaman peserta didik, pembelajaran yang mendidik serta membentuk kepribadian dan jati diri calon pendidik.
