Program Studi (Prodi) PG-PAUD kembali menyelenggarakan kegiatan PG-PAUD Expo yang ke-7. Penyelenggaraan PG-PAUD Expo berlangsung selama 2 hari yaitu pada tanggal 9 November 2023 (secara daring) dan 13 November 2023 (secara luring). PG-PAUD Expo pada tahun ini mengangkat tema “Aku Berkarakter, Aku Berbudaya”. Acara puncak PG-PAUD Expo bertempat di pelataran Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan Negeri Medan. Kegiatan ini dihadiri oleh Dekan Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan (Prof. Dr. Yusnadi, M.S.), Wakil Dekan II (Dr. Zuraida Lubis, M.Pd., Kons.), Wakil Dekan III (Kamtini, M.Pd.), Ketua Program Studi PG-PAUD (Suri Handayani Damanik, S.Psi., M.Psi.), Kepala Laboratorium PG-PAUD (Srinahyanti, S.Pd., M.Pd.), dosen-dosen PG-PAUD, mahasiswa, guru, orang tua dan siswa TK.
Berbagai perlombaan digelar dalam rangka memeriahkan PG-PAUD Expo dimana lomba terbagi dalam dua kelompok besar yaitu Lomba Nasional dan Lomba Lokal. Lomba Nasional terdiri dari Lomba Senam Guru, Lomba Tari Kreasi Daerah, Orasi, Video Pendidikan, Microteaching, Pembuatan APE, dan Aransemen Lagu Daerah. Sedangkan Lomba Lokal terdiri dari Mewarnai, Fashion Show, Karya Tari Anak, Puzzle, Vokal Solo, Stand-up Comedy, Ranking 1, Mendongeng dan Pembuatan APE. Selain itu, para pengunjung juga dapat menikmati penampilan dari dosen dan mahasiswa serta menikmati bazaar yang tersedia di sekitaran Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan.
Pada kata sambutannya, Dekan Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan, Prof. Dr. Yusnadi, M.S. mengapresiasi kegiatan yang dilaksanakan oleh Program Studi PG-PAUD dengan sejumlah perlombaan dan kegiatan. Beliau juga menyampaikan betapa pentingnya pendidikan anak usia dini dalam rangka mendukung peningkatan kompetensi sumber daya manusia di kemudian hari. Selain itu, beliau juga mengapreasiasi antusiasme peserta yang ikut berpartisipasi memeriahkan kegiatan PG-PAUD Expo.
Sebelum penutupan, diadakan sesi pengumuman untuk seluruh cabang lomba yang diselenggarakan. Setiap pemenang diberikan piagam penghargaan dan berbagai macam hadiah. Kegiatan PG-PAUD Expo ditutup dengan penampilan dari dosen dan mahasiswa Prodi PG-PAUD Unimed.
