Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan Prodi Program Studi (Prodi) PG-PAUD menyelenggarakan kuliah umum “Bersama Kita Bisa Membangun Jembatan Relasi Anak Bersama Orangtua Melalui Dongeng” bersama Narasumber terkenal yaitu Mochammad Awam Prakoso yang lebih dikenal sebagai Kak Awam. Beliau seorang pendongeng dan pemerhati anak berkebangsaan Indonesia. Kegiatan ini berlangsung pada tanggal 4 Maret 2023 di Gedung digilib Lantai IV Universitas Negeri Medan.
Kuliah umum di hadiri oleh KaProdi, KaLab, dosen-dosen , seluruh mahasiswa/i prodi PG-PAUD Unimed, mahasiswa/i jurusan PG-PAUD yang berasal dari 6 kampus lain di daerah Sumatera Utara dan juga mengundang Guru-Guru Penggerak Sumatera Utara. Kuliah umum ini diikuti sebanyak 451 peserta yang terdiri dari dosen, perwakilan guru penggerak dan mahasiswa prodi PG-PAUD Unimed, Universitas Sari Mutiara, Universitas Panca Budi dan Universitas Batutta.
Kegiatan ini dibuka oleh Ibu Wakil Dekan 3 FIP Kamtini, S.Pd., M.Pd. yang menyampaikan pentingnya mendongeng untuk kita sebagai calon guru ataupun orang tua nanti nya.
Kegiatan berjalan dengan lancar dan baik, serta peserta yang hadir sangat antusias mengikuti serta mendengarkan kuliah umum ini dan Kaprodi PG-PAUD Unimed juga mengucapkan terimakasih kepada Narasumber Kak awam yang telah membuka wawasan bagaimana caranya mendongeng kepada peserta dalam kegiatan kuliah umum ini.
